E-Sports Wind in Gölhisar: The Championship Cup Found Its Owner at the MAKÜ E-Sports Tournament!

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Gölhisar Vocational School, in collaboration with the Turkish E-Sports Federation (TESFED), organized a digital gaming event. The Valorant Tournament, where strategy, speed, and team spirit met in the digital arena, witnessed breathtaking final matches and a magnificent award ceremony.
 

Embracing innovative approaches in academic education and aiming to equip its students according to the requirements of the age, Gölhisar Vocational School hosted an event that combined technology and sports. The "MAKÜ Gölhisar Campus Valorant E-Sports Tournament," organized in collaboration with the Turkish E-Sports Federation (TESFED), was completed with intense participation and fierce competition among university students.
 

GÖLHİSAR MYO CONFERENCE HALL TURNED INTO A DIGITAL ARENA

Throughout the tournament, where students showcased their strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and teamwork skills, the Gölhisar MYO Conference Hall transformed into an atmosphere reminiscent of professional e-sports arenas. The excitement of the eliminations, which lasted for days, reached its peak on the final day.

The final day ceremony began with the 3rd Place Match. The teams Karakaçanlar and Exercitus, competing for the bronze medal, offered a tactical feast to the audience. At the end of the match, the Karakaçanlar team, which gained superiority over its opponent, secured its place on the podium as the third of the tournament.
 

CHAMPION IN THE GRAND FINAL: ANGEL EYES

The most anticipated moment of the tournament, the "Grand Final," was played between the teams Angel Eyes and Death Grasp. In the match, where even seconds mattered in the digital arena and the audience watched with bated breath, the Angel Eyes team declared its championship by defeating its opponent Death Grasp with a superior performance. The Death Grasp team, on the other hand, achieved great success by finishing second in the tournament.
 

TROPHY CELEBRATION AND PROTOCOL MESSAGES

The award ceremony held after the matches was like a festival with the intense participation of the district protocol and students. Speaking at the ceremony, School Student Representative Yiğit Efe BİLGİN expressed their satisfaction with the organization as the voice of the youth.
 

The champion of the tournament, Angel Eyes, received the championship trophy and gold medals from Gölhisar Mayor İbrahim SERTBAŞ. Sharing the excitement of the youth during the trophy presentation, Mayor Sertbaş said, “The energy of our youth and their talents in the digital world make us proud. As Gölhisar Municipality, we will always be the biggest supporter of such innovative organizations that contribute to the socialization and personal development of our youth.”
 

Presenting the awards to the second-place Death Grasp team, Vocational School Director Lecturer Murat ERTİLAV emphasized the school's vision, saying, “We aim to train our students as equipped individuals not only in classrooms but in all areas of life. The team spirit and strategic intelligence we see here today are indicators that we are on the right path. I congratulate all our young people who brought this dynamism to our campus.”
 

The third-place Karakaçanlar team received their medals from Prof. Dr. Özdemir ŞENTÜRK. Congratulating the youth during the award presentation, Şentürk emphasized the importance of the tournament by saying, “Besides academic success, it is gratifying for us to see how talented our youth are in such modern platforms that require strategy and team spirit.”
 

NO LOSERS, WINNERS ARE FRIENDSHIP AND EXPERIENCE

The most notable aspect of the organization was the emphasis on the unifying power of sports. Not only those who ranked but all teams participating in the tournament were invited to the stage and awarded with a "Participation Certificate" and "E-Sports License Card."

Thanks were extended to the Gölhisar District Youth and Sports Directorate for their valuable support and contributions to the organization from the beginning of the process.
 

With this visionary event, Gölhisar Vocational School once again proved its importance not only in the academic but also in the social and technological development of students.
