Gölhisar MYO Social Security Department External Stakeholder Meeting Held

The External Stakeholder Meeting was held by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Gölhisar Vocational School Social Security Department with the aim of developing educational processes and strengthening cooperation with the sector.
 

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Social Security Department, Dr. Lecturer Namıka BOYACIOĞLU, while Social Security Center Director Sevgi Gülsüm ALKAN also attended the meeting and shared her views and suggestions. From the academic staff, Lecturer Habibe URYANOĞLU, Lecturer Murat ÖZDEMİR, Lecturer Süleyman YILMAZ, and Lecturer Yalçın BAĞCI were present at the meeting. Additionally, as an external stakeholder, Ahmet ERSARI, the owner of Gölhisar Insurance operating in the insurance sector, participated in the meeting.
 

During the meeting, the current situation of the Social Security Department, the problems encountered, and solution suggestions for these problems were comprehensively discussed. The courses taught in the department and the suitability of course contents to sectoral needs and current developments were evaluated. The importance of adding courses related to the individual pension system, recent changes in social security legislation, and these areas to the curriculum was emphasized.
 

Additionally, in order to prepare students more equipped for business life after graduation, the contributions of integrating accounting, insurance, and social security software packages used in the sector into the education process were emphasized. It was stated that these practices would enhance students' practical skills and strengthen their employability.
