Goal to Improve Education Quality at Gölhisar MYO: In-Service Training for Academic Staff

A "Hizmet İçi Eğitim Toplantısı" was organized at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Gölhisar Vocational School to enhance the quality of educational processes and ensure standardization in academic practices.

In the school meeting room, with the intense participation of academic staff, the fundamental building blocks of the education system and quality processes were comprehensively addressed during the training.

Agenda: ECTS, Exam System, and Accreditation

The main agenda items of the meeting were the education curriculum and assessment-evaluation processes. In this context:

ECTS Information Packages: Workshop-style evaluations were conducted on updating the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) information packages. Emphasis was placed on the calculation of course loads and the correct writing techniques of learning outcomes.

Exam Management System: The new exam management system to be implemented at our university was introduced, and the adaptation process of the academic staff to the system was evaluated.

MEDEK Accreditation: Accreditation processes, which signify the certification of education quality, were discussed. The preparation stages and roadmaps of the departments that will apply to MEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Education Programs) were reviewed.

The presentation and coordination of the in-service training were carried out by the Assistant Directors of the School, Öğr. Gör. Zafer KÖSE and Öğr. Gör. Sevdanur BALDAZ. Our assistant directors contributed to the process by providing technical information to the academic staff to ensure the healthy execution of the processes.

The meeting concluded with the discussion of the efforts to be made to offer the most qualified education to students.
