The Architectural Restoration Program conducted a technical trip to Burdur Archaeology Museum and Sagalassos Ancient City under the coordination of Lecturer Seyhan AKGÜL ÖZARSLAN.
The many archaeological findings exhibited within the Burdur Archaeology Museum, uncovered as a result of surface surveys and scientific excavation works in the region, have contributed to the understanding of the continuity of the uninterrupted cultural layer and the preservation and better understanding of the importance of the city's memory.
Another point on our route is the Sagalassos Ancient City. As of 2024, the works are being conducted under the coordination of Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Şükrü ÖZÜDOĞRU within MAKÜ. Our city tour started from the 1900-year-old Hadrian Fountain, where excavation and restoration works are being carried out in coordination this season, and concluded with the Bath, Lower Agora, Macellum, Antonine Fountain, Library Structure, Doric Fountain, and Theater Structure. Information was provided by our school's Head of the Architectural Restoration Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ünal DEMİRER, who was personally involved in the restoration works this season. We would like to thank the coordinator Deputy Excavation Head, MAKÜ Archaeology department member Dr. Lecturer Düzgün TARKAN, who accompanied us during our tour and shared valuable information about the works with us. ragraf içeriği
