Gölhisar Vocational School Forestry Department Students Continued Field Applications in Çameli

Gölhisar Vocational School Forestry Department Forest Management Principles, Dendrometry and Vocational Education and Project Management II courses continued field applications at Çameli Forest Management Directorate.

In the first part of the field application Yaylacık Forest Management Chief Samet ÖZER, Çameli Forest Management Chief Emrah UĞUR, Boyalı Forest Management Chief Emin Kürşat AKAY, Göldağ Forest Management Chief Halime AKYOL, Düzençam Depot Chief Ali ŞEN, Forest Protection Officers; Şükrü ÖZKAN, İsa MUTLUTÜRK, Şuayip ÜRGÜN and Recep DOĞAN provided applied training to department students on types of stamps and their areas of use, tree cutting and what needs to be done during cutting, bark stripping and branch pruning, scaling and measurement. During the training, students were divided into groups and had the opportunity to perform each application themselves. Products measured were transferred to trucks with the help of loaders by obtaining dispatch notes and transported to the forest depot. In the ongoing application at the forest depot, information was given about stacking methods and products.

At the end of the application, Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özdemir ŞENTÜRK, emphasized the importance of field applications in gaining vocational education in the forestry profession. Çameli Forest Management Director Erol GÜNER and Çameli Forest Management Deputy Director Vedat UĞURCU stated that they are always open to help in continuing such applications.
