A conference on the topic of Savings Culture and Renewable Energy was held by our College Faculty Member Lecturer Mehmet ERTÜRKMEN on May 16, 2024, at Gölhisar Science High School.
In the conference, Ertürkmen addressed the topics: "The culture of saving is the habit of using resources efficiently and consciously. This culture helps individuals and societies adopt a sustainable lifestyle both economically and environmentally. Energy saving is an important part of this culture and includes reducing the use of fossil fuels, adopting energy efficiency technologies, and turning to renewable energy sources. Renewable energy refers to energy sources that can be continuously obtained from nature. Solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass, and geothermal energy are among these sources. The use of renewable energy plays a critical role in combating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by fossil fuels. Additionally, the use of local energy sources increases energy security and supports economic independence."
