An online conference titled “The Place and Importance of Cartography in Land Consolidation Works in Turkey” was organized.

On May 3, 2023, Wednesday, at our Vocational School, an online conference titled “The Role and Importance of Cartography in Land Consolidation Works in Turkey – Benefits of Land Consolidation to Agriculture and Economy” was held. Faculty members and our students from the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning participated in the conference.

At the conference, DSİ 21. Bölge Müdürlüğü personnel High Survey Engineer Mehmet AYDIN participated as a speaker. After providing general information about land consolidation, Aydın gave a detailed presentation on the benefits of consolidation for farmers and the public, the project process of consolidation, the procedures carried out in land registry and cadastre, the role and importance of cartography in consolidation works, the contributions of consolidation works to agriculture and the national economy, the implementation process of consolidation, land delivery, and construction works. After the presentation, Aydın answered the questions of the faculty members and students and expressed his pleasure for being invited to and participating in such an enjoyable online conference.

The moderator of the conference, Öğr. Gör. Zafer Köse, presented a certificate of appreciation to Mehmet Aydın for participating as a speaker in this conference, which will greatly contribute to the education and training of our students.
