The Future of Software and Artificial Intelligence Technology Discussed at the Online Conference

On March 30, 2023, Thursday at 16.00, an online conference titled “The Importance and Future of Software, Artificial Intelligence Technology” was held by Prof. Dr. Ecir Uğur KÜÇÜKSİLLE from Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering, Computer Software Department.

In the conference, where the importance of software in the world and in our country was mentioned, the participants who wanted to become experts in this field were informed about the software technologies that will be encountered in the future. Talking about the Artificial Intelligence technologies that we will encounter more in the future and what needs to be done in this field, KÜÇÜKSİLLE stated that artificial intelligence technology will become even more important in the coming years and that what can be done with this technology can both benefit humanity and bring about security issues. He mentioned that students should have knowledge in every field during their education life, but it is important for them to develop themselves more and become experts in a field they are interested in.

In the conference, which continued in the form of an interview with graduate students, Yunus Emre ALBAYRAK, a 2021 graduate of the Computer Technologies Department Internet and Network Technologies program, stated that his education life contributed a lot to him and that he constantly developed himself after school. After talking about the situations he encountered during the job entry stages, he explained which software he used in his business life, which programming languages he learned, and the works he did. Albayrak, who works as a Backend Developer in an international company, emphasized that after sharing his experiences, students should pursue their dreams by talking about his future goals.

Ramazan YAVUZ, a 2022 graduate of the Computer Technologies Department Internet and Network Technologies program, mentioned that he turned to the field of Graphic Design thanks to the courses he took at school, and that he both developed himself and earned his pocket money by working as a freelancer by making designs in this field during his student years. He stated that he is currently working as a Graphic Designer for an energy company operating in Germany through the remote work method. He stated that those who develop themselves in this field have many opportunities to find a job and earn money.

With the conference, which lasted about 3 hours and was very useful, our students both gained knowledge in their field and learned about the paths that graduate students who studied the same department as them went through to get a job.
