Gölhisar Forest
Management Directorate and Gölhisar Vocational School Forestry Department in collaboration
on May 25, 2023, at 13:30, a Forest Fire Drill
was conducted at our school. The first part of the event was led by Gölhisar
Forest Management Director Mr. Ramazan BAŞARAN and his team, where information was provided about the operation of the valve (pump) system located in the Fire Truck and First Response vehicles in the Vocational School Garden. Then, water and foam application was carried out using low and high-pressure
hoses. On the other hand, the apparatus (connectors, water and foam guns, mixer, low and
high-pressure hoses, valves, separating valves, portable nozzle, filters), personal
protective equipment, hand tools, rescue bag, and first aid kits located in the fire truck were introduced to the forestry department students practically. After the introduction, the first part of the application was concluded in the vocational school garden with the use of the super nozzle.
In the second part of the event, it continued with a presentation on forest fires by Gölhisar Forest Management Director Mr. Ramazan BAŞARAN in the Conference Hall. After the presentation, a question and answer session was held regarding forestry practices, especially the drill. In the final part, Assoc. Dr. Özdemir ŞENTÜRK exchanged views with the department students regarding the planning of the next field applications.
At the end of the event, Gölhisar Vocational School Director Dr. Lecturer İhsan AŞIK, Deputy Director Lecturer Murat ERTİLAV, and Forestry Department Head Assoc. Dr. Özdemir ŞENTÜRK presented certificates of appreciation to Gölhisar Forest Management Director Mr. Ramazan BAŞARAN, Forest Management Chief Özgür Durmuş KAYA, and Forest Management Chief Fevzi TÜRK. We thank Gölhisar Forest Management Director Mr. Ramazan BAŞARAN and his team for their support in the applications.
