About the Program

In our country, the public sector and the private sector have started to face social security crises, especially in the last half-century, due to developments in the world and in our country and the impact of globalization. These crises have increased the importance of social security. With this in mind, this program has been opened to train academically educated, equipped, computer-supported social security personnel who can meet the needs of the private sector, public sector, and other organizations, and who are effective in the field of social security.

The aim is to educate individuals who study in this department, receive education, and successfully graduate from the department, who are successful in basic mathematics and logic tasks, possess managerial knowledge and skills, and in addition to all these, are advanced in human relations and communication, can follow legislation, research and know legal responsibilities, learn and apply them.

Students who graduate from the department receive the title of "Social Security Professional."

The Social Security program, which is open and active, is a two-year program, and it is a department with wide job placement opportunities after graduation. However, students who wish can take the Vertical Transfer Exam and transfer to four-year departments such as Social Services or departments such as Economics and Business Administration within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. They can complete their associate degree education to bachelor's degree education.

 

Newly registered full-time (first) students and first-time students who will renew their registration within the normal duration of their program do not pay tuition/contribution fees.

·         However, students who cannot graduate at the end of the normal duration of education (4 semesters) pay the tuition/contribution fee determined by the Council of Ministers for each academic year.

·         Students who are at the graduation stage and only have an internship left do not pay the tuition/contribution fee for the internship.

·         Newly registered second-time students pay the tuition/contribution fee determined by the Council of Ministers for each academic year.

·         Second-time students who rank in the top 10% in each term of their program pay the tuition/contribution fee determined by the Council of Ministers for each academic year.

The language of instruction is Turkish, and the duration of education is 2 years. The program provides education according to the full-time education model, consisting of 4 semesters (terms) including fall and spring. It continues its educational activities in the form of I. and II. education. YÖK courses are given according to the distance education method, and program courses are conducted in classroom environments within the School building.

·         A 30-day internship application is mandatory in the program.

 

Employment Opportunities

Our graduates can find employment in institutions and organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Institutions such as İŞ-KUR and SGK are among these institutions. In addition to these, our students who have the chance to work in all public institutions can also find employment opportunities in the private sector if they wish and can work there.

Graduates who want to work in public institutions will be appointed with the score they get from the Associate Degree KPSS after their two-year education. Students who succeed in the DGS can complete their education to 4 years and be appointed with the score they get from the Bachelor's Degree KPSS. Considering all these job descriptions, graduates of this department can easily find jobs in any company that needs personnel employment.
